Land-locked Seadweller

You are cute.

You nuzzle her some more making a soft purring noise. You really don't want to let her go. You are just fine holding her like this. You could hold her like this for a very, very long time. Maybe that is a little obvious by the way you did not let go of her right away. But you do, slowly.

Mmm... Maybe if you lay down on your side it will work out better?

You don't really know, you are thinking and making this up as you go along. You have the notes on how to take care of her and her gills inside, and you vaguely remember something about laying on her side. You stop balancing that bottle on your foot and kick it up into your hands, getting yourself wet. In fact the wetness was a surprise to you, especially the seawater in your eye. Seawater sure stings when it gets in your eye. You end up dropping the bottle and seeing it sink down to the bottom of the dock.

I'll get it...

You sigh as you take off your shirt. You would take off your pants too but, you are not wearing any sort of underpants. Yep, going it commando style. So wonderful if you had to protect her in a hurry and got a kick to the sensitive parts. You didn't always think ahead. You take a breath and let yourself fall into the water. It's not a deep diving expedition, it doesn't take you long to grab the bottle and kick back up to the surface.

I hope seawater didn't get in it, do you think it will make a difference?

You ask her as you toss the bottle onto the deck and then start swimming for the ladder.

Smiling you more or less melt into his arms, your own purr kicking up and falling into rhythm with his. You try not to make a face when he pulls away. "Yeah, that sounds good to me." You had just started to lie down when Aarush drops the bottle. Covering your mouth with a hand you hold back your snicker. Of course, the seawater doesn't bother you in the slightest. Seadwellers can swim in salt and freshwater, their gills were highly adaptive. As for her eyes, they changed pH to suit the levels of the water around them. So for you, seawater in the eye is really no big deal.

You pout when he offers to get the bottle, you wanted to get it. Any excuse for getting in the water, really, after over a week of being stuck on land was a good excuse. You'd seen Aarush without a shirt on before, but that was when he was feverish and pasty. Damn he had a nice body. You catch the bottle with one hand, thanks to your seadwelling reflexes. When there's a change you could get eaten by a sharp-tooth fish, you have to be able to react quickly.

"I don't think it will. I mean, my gills are adaptive to salt and fresh water so I don't think it will be that big of a deal."

I'll just squeeze a little into your gills... Hopefully this will dislodge the slime.

You smile as you climb up the ladder and pull yourself up onto the deck. 

You ready?

You carefully lift up her shirt after she gives her consent. You angle the bottle slightly before gently squeezing out a stream. Oh shit. That was too hard and too fast.

Shit! Sorry! That didn't hurt did it? Are you alright? I didn't hurt your gills did I?

You are panicking a little. What if you had ruined all the healing progress she had made. What of you had permanently ruined her gills on that side. You are biteing your lip as you apologize.

Your shirt was already sat beside you, but your sports bra was in the way slightly so you let him tug it up. You flare out your gills and watch him line up the bottle. Oh shit. A blush rises to your face as the water hits your sensitive gills. It didn't hurt at all it felt fantastic. You blink a few times, realizing Aarush was talking to you. "No, it didn't hurt at all, I'm fine." You smile at him, hoping the blush on your face isn't too noticeable. You retract your gills then flare them out again, "See? You didn't hurt my gills." You sneeze twice. "But I don't think you got all the slime out." You smile sheepishly, again wondering how much Aarush knew about gills. After all, when you had first met him he had known exactly how to scoop slime from your gills with his fingers.

Ah crap... hold on.

You adjust the angle slightly with the bottle before aiming another short squirt of water into her gills. You are trying to be helpful with this, but a glance at her face makes you blush. You knew gills were sensitive but, how exactly? Ah shit, were you making her uncomfortable?

Maybe if I can't... umm... get it out with the bottle maybe a swim will take care of it?

You cough several times, the water hitting just the right spot to dislodge the sopor. A few tiny little clumps of hardened sopor fall onto the deck. You fluttered your gills a little before tucking them back in and smiling at him. "You got it!" You lean over and give him a quick kiss on the cheek, your fins fluttering as you smile at him. "Thanks."

Without a word or any warning you stand and cannonball into the water, splashing Aarush. You swim under the deck and playfully grab his foot, tugging just a little. Giggling, you stick your head out of the water, looking up at him.

You blush as she kisses your cheek, smiling like a fool. Hell you were her fool. A fool who was absolute putty at her hands and whims. You just wondered if she knew just how far you would go for her. It was a ridiculous feeling. The two of you had been quads for maybe little more then a pedigree and still you could not help the intense feelings you felt every time you looked at her.

Any time Princess.

You bring up your hands as she would cannonball into the water. She must have wanted to be in the water for so long after all that. You laugh as you get utterly soaked again. As she tugs on your foot it's all the invitation you needed to let yourself flop off the pier and into the water.

You blush when he calls you princess, as you always do. You purr when he gets into the water, your fins fluttering. You push your thick wet hair out of your eyes and swim around him. Damn it your back is itching like crazy. That damned dorsal fin! You just wanted it to pop out from the thin layer of skin keeping it down. The stupid thing was taking forever to finish growing. You dive down, loving the feel of breathing the water in and getting your gills moving again. You lay on the sand for a second, before kicking for the surface and reuniting with Aarush. You sigh, smiling. "I haven't been swimming in over a week."

You smile letting yourself float on the surface.

Must be good ya? No longer having to be a fish out of water.

He would chuckle at his bad joke, teasing her a little. It felt good to be out in the water like this, the weather was warm and the water was not too cold. It was soothing. You end up relaxing mussels you did not know you had tense. You are pretty damn tired, you hardly had a nights sleep the entire time you had been here. A yawn splits your face as the gentle waves just seem to rock you gently.

You roll your eyes. "Oh very funny make fish jokes about the seadweller, how creative," you tease. You wiggle your fins at him, "But yes, it is very good. Even better with you with me." Glob that sounded horribly cheesy. You let the waves push you a little closer to him and you wrap your arms around him, keeping your legs moving slowly so the pair of you stay afloat. You rest your head on his shoulder, just wanting to be close to him and to feel his arms around you. You sigh in bliss, closing your eyes and relaxing.

You laugh and wrap your arms around her.

But you are so cute when you flutter your fins like that, how else am I going to...

You sit up a little bit to give one of her fins a teasing nibble as you pull her closer to you. You sink a little in the water but it does not bother you. A low rumble of a purr fills your throat as you move your mouth to her neck, and then find her lips.

Giggling in response, you flutter your fins again, gasping a little when he nibbles on your fin. You press yourself closer to him, a needy whine escaping when you feel his mouth on your neck and gills. Your gills fan out and twitch in response to his mouth, and you feel a flush rising to your face. When he pulls away you frown but begin to purr when he kisses you. Your fingers tangle in his hair and you kick a little harder to keep both of you afloat. Feeling brave you tease him back, nibbling his lip.
